“Best decision we ever made as pet parents! After rescuing our boy Logan when he was 1, we were not prepared for the German shepherd stubbornness within him. We hired Lorena to help us train him to be a good walking buddy for my husband and so that he would not learn the bad habits of his then 8 year old brother Joey. I thought for sure Joey was an old dog who couldn’t learn new tricks, but we decided all four of us would go through training together so both boys would know the same commands. It was absolutely life changing! Joey went from anxiously pulling me on walks and having major leash reactivity (that was stressful to me and terrifying to people we passed) to walking calmly by my side, even OFF LEASH, with ZERO reactivity to other dogs. I did not think that was possible!! Logan learned to stay with us off leash in parks or out front, both boys recall on command, wait before stepping through a door, go to place and stay until released… I mean, they sat on our front porch during a yard sale on their place cots and just watched and wagged their tails calmly without a single escape attempt… I could go on and on. It only gets better the more we practice what Lorena taught us with them. And, when we struggled, Lorena went the extra mile to work with us on the areas we needed extra help. I love our big mutt rescue boys, but they both came from some trauma that led to anxiety which was only compounded by one being a puppy and the other a grumpy old man. Thanks to the training with Lorena both are calm and relaxed as we go on rides, walks, road trips and visit parks – with both of them – because we are confident in the tools we learned from her. ”
